Episode 6

Relationship Building and Being the Best Team Player

What a treat!  In this episode, we welcome Ken Meifert. Ken has arguably one of the coolest jobs, he’s the Vice President of Sponsorship and Development at the National Baseball Hall of Fame. Ken has been with the Baseball Hall of Fame Museum for over 27 years and he has a lot say about hiring, chemistry, collaboration, team work and being the best team player you can be to your constituents. Ken also talks about the importance of work ethic, several key things you can do to stand out and add value on a daily basis. We also discuss the importance of ‘owning it’, loving what you do, professional passion, and why connecting with people is the key skill set to practice everyday. We also talk about actively listening being the foundation in communication.  Ken enjoys people and making connections, and he clearly understands how relationships are critical to your success.

I’m also releasing a short “bonus episode.” In the short bonus episode, Ken told me a great story and I wanted to make sure heard it, but also understand from it – how relationships and work, what you do, clearly impacts another and in some cases like the story Ken told me – how you can transport a person back to a key critical emotional moment in their life.

Enjoy this episode and the bonus material!
